Land Ownership and Location

The FilCom Center is located on a two-acre parcel at the site of the former Oahu Sugar Mill, on the corner of Mokuola and Waipahu Streets and has a B-2 (Community Business District) designation. The property is owned by the Filipino Community Center, Inc. in fee simple.

The Building

Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, the architectural firm that designed the Hawaii Convention Center, donated time and effort to design the FilCom Center. The building is three stories high, covering 50,000 square feet. The FilCom Center will provide space for cultural and educational activities and social services to benefit the entire community.

Approximately 25,000 square feet of the building will be leased to businesses and/or other non-profit organizations in order to provide operating income for the FilCom Center's activities.
