Pasko sa FilCom 2009
The 3rd Annual Pasko Sa FilCom (Christmas at FilCom) was held last Sunday, December 13, 2009, 2:00 - 7:00 PM. The celebration includes various activities such as Filipino delicacies cooking demonstration, entertainment, children games, christmas carol, parol and christmas tree contest and a lot more. FilCom Fundraising Dinner - Filipino Flavors

The Filipino Community Center held its first food and wine tasting fundraising event, dubbed Filipino Flavors, last Saturday, October 24th. The event highlighted Filipino food prepared by Filipino Celebrity chefs (Rhodel Ibay, Aurelio Garcia, Elmer Guzman, Michael Rabe and Mang Gorio's Lechon), paired with premier wines by the only Filipino master sommelier in Hawaii, Roberto Viernes. The event also featured captivating entertainments performed by the Himig at Indak, Ramos Brothers, Sasha Dee, Consul Paul Cortes, Angeli Callo and the Tradicion Rondalla from Bay Area, California, auction for Las Vegas round-trip air fares, hotel accomodations and boxing tickets to the Pacquiao-Cotto match. Philippine Typhoon Relief Drive

The Filipino Community Center in cooperation with the various filipino organizations in Hawaii were united and helped each other for the success of the Philippine typhoon relief drive that was held last Sunday, October 4, 2009. The event was held from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the different sites: FilCom Center, Don Quijote Waipahu, Long's Drug Kapolei, Philippine Consulate, Walmart Pearl City, Loulen's, State Capitol and Wahiawa. The drive raised nearly $24,500. |

Filipino Fiesta, Parade & Santacruzan

"Sama-samang Galing sa Pagsayaw at Pag-awit"
Two of the programs of FilCom Center, the Smart Seniors Program and Himig at Indak Group, once again showed their talents to the public last Friday, January 23, 2009 at the FilCom Center Casamina-Flores ballroom. It was a 2 hours non-stop sing and dance show that everybody enjoyed.
